For the MSRP $379.00 price tag, it does not have any hard disk built in. The other option is to upgrade the entire network to the new Unifi Dream Machine Pro, with advanced gateway functionality like Access and Phone, in addition to the built in gateway, controller, and protect. But still leaves me with less than 30 days of storage. This option will give 5x storage without too much hassle to change any network controller etc. One is to upgrade the 1TB to 5TB but still using Cloud Key Gen2. Less than a few days is definitely not ideal. In my case of 15 G3 Flex cameras, if I configure them to recording at all time, the maximum storage is good for 3.5 days and then it starts to rolling removal of old videos. ![]() The only downside is that the limitation of hard drive. ![]() It’s got a 1TB hard drive built in with Unifi Protect controller built in. The Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus is great investment for small environment with limited cameras. Recently I have upgraded from Cloud Key Gne 2 Plus to UDM Pro (Unifi Dream Machine Pro) because of storage capacity limitations with Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus, with 15 G3 Flex Cameras.
